Role
Student Ambassador
While working at The Great Plains Technology Center, I had the opportunity to work on several impressive IT projects that showcased my skills and knowledge in the field.
One of the most notable projects I worked on was creating a simulated healthcare setting for healthcare students. As part of this project, I was responsible for configuring cameras, setting up PC backups, configuring the website, and creating a share drive while strictly following HIPPA procedures. I paid close attention to detail and ensured that the healthcare setting was both realistic and secure. The end result was a successful and immersive learning experience for healthcare students.
Another project I worked on was creating server macros that automatically booted up when restarting a computer. This allowed our teacher to view all the cameras in the simulated healthcare setup, making it easier to monitor and evaluate the students' progress. My expertise in configuring servers and writing macros was invaluable to this project's success.
In addition to these projects, I also took on the task of teaching a subject to the networking class about TCP/IP protocols and what they do. As an expert in this area, I was able to explain the complex concepts of TCP/IP in a way that was easy for students to understand. I created engaging and interactive lesson plans that included hands-on activities, which helped students to apply what they had learned in real-world scenarios.
Finally, I showcased my versatility by taking on the disassembly and reassembly of laptops, desktops, and printers. This is a critical skill in the IT industry, and my ability to troubleshoot issues and quickly identify solutions made me a valuable asset to the team.
Overall, these projects at The Great Plains Technology Center demonstrated my technical expertise, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively within a team. I am proud of my contributions to these projects, which undoubtedly had a positive impact on the organization and the students who benefited from the simulated healthcare setting and the TCP/IP protocol lessons.
